Quaker Studies is the only refereed journal covering all aspects of Quaker studies. Quaker Studies is multi-disciplinary and articles submitted typically cover the subject areas of aesthetics, anthropology, architecture, art, cultural studies, history, literature, peace studies, philosophy, research methodology, sociology, theology, and women’s studies.

Call for Submissions: Special Issue John Woolman (1720-1772): Context and Legacy
The recent 250th anniversary of John Woolman's death provides a basis for re-examining the Quaker tailor's legacy in Quaker spirituality and ethics. Woolman has had a renaissance in recent years, being the subject of critical analyses and historical reinterpretations. This special issue welcomes papers that explore Woolman's legacy in historical and theological context. Articles are welcome that build on recent Woolman scholarship and new interdisciplinary approaches to Quaker Studies to analyse both Woolman and contemporary Quaker ethics.
Potential topics could include, but are not restricted to:
The timeline is as follows:
14 April 2022 – submission of proposals of 500 words for an article, and 250 words for a Research Note AND 100-word authors’ mini-biography
14 May 2022 – Confirmation of acceptance of pieces for the special issue
1 March 2023 – First submissions for editorial feedback
1 April 2023 – Final submissions for peer review
1 May 2023 – Return of peer review comments
1 August 2023 – Submission for publication
December 2023 – Publication

When you confirm your email address you will be directed to a page that confirms that your registration is complete and you will automatically be logged in.
7. Click your name at the top right hand corner to be directed to the homepage for your new account.
